Beach Volleyball at Commonwealth Games 2022
Beach Volleyball at CWG 2022 – Beach Volleyball is a sporting event which showcases the raw talent and power. Unlike Volleyball, in Beach Volleyball, teams of two go head to head on the beach sand. The match starts with a player serving the ball over the net to opposition. The opposition has to direct the ball across the net. The ball can be hit a maximum of three times on one side. The rally continues till one team wins the point.
So how is the point won? Well, the team wins the point when the opposition fails to return the ball, if the ball lands on the opposition’s court or if the opposition commits a foul. The team who wins the point serves next.
Beach Volleyball matches are best of three sets. The first two sets are played to 21 points. If the match goes into the third set, first to 15 points wins the decider set. All three sets have to be won by a minimum of two point difference. If the set is tied at 20-20 or 15-15 then the teams continue to play till the two point advantage is gained.

Beach Volleyball CWG Venue: Where will Beach Volleyball matches be held?
All the matches of beach volleyball will be played in the brownfield site in Smithfield, Birmingham. Smithfield will also host 3×3 basketball, 3×3 wheelchair basketball, and the start of the marathon. The area is planned to be dismantled after the event and will be reconstructed under redevelopment scheme.
