Sharath, Manika Among 16 Probables Picked For Commonwealth Games 2022

Indian Table Tennis Probables list for Commonwealth Games 2022 – In the past few years, Indian table tennis has evolved and has reached a point where India can expect few medals from their TT squad. 

On 9th May, a 16-member probable list for table tennis was announced. This list included Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra who lead the Indian table tennis squads at International tournaments. A training camp for these sixteen table tennis players has been scheduled from May 23 to 30 at Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru. The final list of qualified players for the upcoming Birmingham Commonwealth Games will be declared at the conclusion of the training camp. 

The official statement of CoA read,

A national training camp will be held from May 23 to 30 at the Padukone Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru. The panel of National selectors will announce the National team for CWG after the camp.

The sixteen-member list was finalized after observing their performances at National Championships in Shillong.

Indian Table Tennis Probables list for Commonwealth Games 2022:

Men: Sharath Kamal, G. Sathiyan, Manush Shah, S. F. R. Snehit, Manav Thakkar, Harmeet Desai, Sanil Shetty, Anirban Ghosh.

Women: Manika Batra, Archana Kamath, Akula Sreeja, Reeth Rishya, Sutirtha Mukherjee, Ayhika Mukherjee, Diya Chitale, Swastika Ghosh.
